Monoclonal Antibody: E. Coli F18

The anti-F18 monoclonal antibody was created against the 2134P fimbriae of enterotoxigenic Escherichia Coli (ETEC). The antibody reacts with F18 fimbriae of ETEC and blocks the binding of F18 positive bacteria to intestinal epithelial cells. The antibody is produced in hybridoma cells and is available as cell culture supernatant.

Uses

ECF18 has been used for indirect fluorescent antibody assays to detect the presence of the F18 fimbrial antigen in research applications.
