Porcine Circovirus 2 (PCV2)
Monoclonal Antibody: PCV2
The PCV2 monoclonal antibody reacts with antigenic group II viruses from the porcine circovirus family. This monoclonal antibody was found to react by a dot-immunoblot assay to purified virus; and is specific for ORF2 (nucleocapsid protein). This antibody does not cross-react with PCV1.The antibody is produced as mouse ascites fluid.

PCV2-A has been used for indirect fluorescent antibody assays and immunohistochemistry. Individual laboratories and investigators are advised to determine the optimal working dilution for their protocol.

Uses and Recommended Dilutions
This antibody is provided sterile-filtered. Shelf life at -20°C is a minimum of 5 years. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Upon receipt, antibody may be thawed, dispensed in small aliquots and frozen. Antibody should be diluted in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) or PBS+1% bovine serum albumin (BSA).
