Monoclonal Antibody: EC K88
The anti-K88ac monoclonal antibody was created against the K88 fimbriae of enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC). The antibody reacts with K88 fimbriae of ETEC and blocks the binding of K88+ bacteria to intestinal epithelial cells. The antibody is produced as mouse ascites fluid.
Uses
The antibody is provided sterile filtered. Long term storage at -20°C; short term storage at 4°C. Shelf life at -20°C is greater than 5 years. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Aliquot into smaller amounts and refreeze if using in small amounts. Ascites fluid should not be diluted in PBS as some procedures are very sensitive to the presence of phosphates.
